C4NJEI and its members believe that the electoral process is the cornerstone of self-governance and our Constitutional Republic. C4NJEI is concerned with the soundness and security of the systems used as part of the electoral process. These systems include voter registration, voter qualification, voter access to polls, systems concerning chain of custody, the programming and use of poll books (electronic or otherwise), the systems used to tabulate ballots, and all other electoral processes, procedures, and systems to ensure that every lawfully registered voter’s cast ballot is accurately counted and not diluted by any unlawfully cast ballot.
C4NJEI’s activities include research, advocacy, education and litigation related to election soundness, security, and integrity. These activities include, but are not limited to, teaching citizens about proper election procedures, training citizens to observe elections and how to recognize and report anomalies, researching and informing citizens as to security issues associated with electronic poll books and voting machine technology, encouraging citizen engagement with municipal, state and federal election officials on topics of mutual interest, and tracking legislation and engaging in litigation where appropriate to preserve and/or advance C4NJEI and its members’ interests.
As a non-partisan organization, C4NJEI does not participate in any political campaign, nor does it endorse any candidate for public office.
