Mercer County Election Lawsuit Enters Critical Phase

TRENTON, N.J. — The Mercer County election lawsuit arising from the November 2022 General Election has entered what could be its decisive phase. After more than two years of litigation, document discovery and depositions of election officials, the plaintiffs in Murranko v. Mercer County Board of Elections, Docket No. MER-L-000324-24, filed a motion for summary judgment on September 11, 2026. The motion hearing is scheduled for October 9, 2026.

Citizens for NJ Election Integrity is raising questions about the New Jersey Division of Elections' August 19, 2026 Guide to MVC Voter Registration Error. The Division says its guidance is intended to protect eligible voters, remove additional ineligible individuals, and “apply consistent standards across the State.” Citizens for NJ Election Integrity supports those objectives. But the guidance leaves several important questions unanswered.

TRENTON, N.J. — Citizens for NJ Election Integrity conducted an independent analysis of publicly available New Jersey voter registration and voter history files, obtained through the Open Public Records Act (OPRA), comparing the statewide voter rolls as of July 31, 2026 with the statewide voter rolls on August 7, 2026. It has been determined that 8,103 voters were removed from the rolls during this 7-day time span. The removals occurred during a period when the state voter registration system was reported offline.
