The Division says its guidance is intended to protect eligible voters, remove additional ineligible individuals, and “apply consistent standards across the State.” Citizens for NJ Election Integrity supports those objectives. But the guidance leaves several important questions unanswered.

Mercer County Election Lawsuit Enters Critical Phase

TRENTON, N.J. — The Mercer County election lawsuit arising from the November 2022 General Election has entered what could be its decisive phase. After more than two years of litigation, document discovery and depositions of election officials, the plaintiffs in Murranko v. Mercer County Board of Elections, Docket No. MER-L-000324-24, filed a motion for summary judgment on September 11, 2026. The motion hearing is scheduled for October 9, 2026.
