NJGOP Election Integrity Task Force Uncovers Evidence of Hundreds of Non-Citizens on New Jersey’s Voter Rolls

COLTS NECK, New Jersey ⎯ Initial findings of the newly-formed NJGOP Election Integrity Task Force found that hundreds of non-citizens were registered to vote based on analysis of public records requests submitted in conjunction with the Republican National Committee to all of New Jersey’s 21 counties, announced NJGOP Chairwoman Christine Giordano Hanlon. In addition, at least 30 documented cases were uncovered of non-citizens illegally casting votes, in some cases in multiple elections and for many years. (link)

Justice Department Sues Five Additional States for Failure to Produce Voter Rolls

Official announcement that the DOJ filed a federal lawsuit against New Jersey (along with Utah, Oklahoma, Kentucky, and West Virginia) for refusing to provide complete, unredacted statewide voter registration lists upon request. The suit seeks full voter data-including names, addresses, dates of birth, driver's license numbers, and partial Social Security numbers-to enforce list maintenance under the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), Help America Vote Act (HAVA), and Civil Rights Act of 1960. Election officials concerned that non-residents were registering to vote at their Jersey shores summer homes to influence May 2024 elections. Election officials placed a huge number of voters on a challenge list and advised them to bring proof of residency – like a driver’s license or a utility bill – to the polls.
