C4NJEI Applauds House of Representatives' Plan to Introduce Bill Requiring Positive Proof of Citizenship to Vote
House Speaker Mike Johnson announced legislation to require proof of citizenship to vote. A person need only check a box on a registration form to attest their citizenship. Citizens for NJ Election Integrity has spoken directly with County Election Supervisors to confirm they have no way to verify citizenship, and the State has replied to an OPRA request for verification process documentation that there are no responsive records.
